MY Village/My Native Village
The name of my village is Ramnagar. It is a renowned village in the district of Rangpur. It is an old village. My village is situated on the western side of Rangpur district. It is two kilometers away from the thana headquarters. The village is not thickly populated. It has a population of about three hundreds. Most of them are Muslims. The rest are Hindus. People of various classes live here. Most of the villagers are farmers. Some are businessmen and service holders. Few of the villagers are fishermen and carpenters. There are some educated men in my village. They live brotherly. It is an important village. There are a high school, a Primary school and a girls’ high school. There are also a post office and a big market here. There is a health centre in my village. The doctor in charge of it is qualified. So the people of our village enjoy good medical facilities. The village has easy means of communication. The primary and high schools are really good for the boys and girls for their education. My village is famous for various cultural activities like Jarigan, the boat race and the bullock race etc. The people of my village are simple and honest. It may be thought as an ideal village in Bangladesh.
The cow is a domestic animal. It is very gentle in nature. It is very useful animal. It is a four footed animal. It has two ears, two eyes, two horns and a long tail. Its body is covered with soft and short hair. Cows are of different colours, such as red black, white etc. The cow is found all over the world. It lives on grass, straw, oilcake etc. It is very found of its calf. The cow gives us milk. Milk is an ideal food. We get butter, ghee, cheese etc from milk. Ox and bullocks draw carts and plough the lands. We must take care of our cows.

The name of our country is Bangladesh.It is my motherland/homeland.It became independent in 1971. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. It is a small country. It has a land area of 147570 square k.m. There are about 16 million people in the country. Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural country. Rice,jute,sugarcane and tea are the main crops of Bangladesh. Many kinds of fruits also grow here. Jack fruit,mangoes, bananas ,pine apples,guavas and water melons are the most common fruit in Bangladesh. There are also many rivers in Bangladesh. The Padma, the Meghna,the Jamuna, the Karnaphuly are the main rivers in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has many interesting places. The Sunderbans, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazar are very attractive. The Royal Bengal Tiger lives in the Sunderbans. Cox’s Bazar is the longest sea beach in the world. It is about 120 k.m long. Many people visit these interesting places every year. Bangladesh is a peaceful country. People from different communities live here in peace. I love my country very much.
